January 2026

I want to share some exciting news! Our 2025 Top Junior Handler, Nevaeh Stadtfled, also finished #10 overall in the Terrier Group showing her Bedlington Terrier! This is a tremendous accomplishment, and the BTCA is very proud! Congratulations Nevaeh!

2026 MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS

Nancy and Dennis are in the process of contacting members who have not yet renewed their 2026 membership. The QR code on the renewal form is no longer working, and our current website is down. No worries, the cutoff date per our bylaws is January 31, but we will be very forgiving and not impose a late fee under the circumstances. The Board will address this at our upcoming meeting next week.

GROUPS.IO

All members are direct-added to groups.io at the beginning of each year. If you want to opt out from receiving email from the BTCA, please follow the instructions. You can always rejoin at any time.

TASSELS & TALES  The long-awaited magazine is ready to be mailed. This is the last magazine for 2025, covering Summer, Fall, and Winter. Thank you to our advertisers and content providers!

ANNUAL AWARDS  The Board approved some changes to our Annual Awards. The changes are printed in Tassels & Tales. A new document will be uploaded to groups.io Files after our January Board meeting. These changes will apply to the 2026 awards. All 2025 awards will follow the old protocols.

UPCOMING SPECIALTIES  Our Grand National Specialty will be held in Greeley, CO on September 6, 2026. Our Midwest Regional Specialty will be held at Purina Farms, Grays Summit, MO on May 30. Judging panel for both shows to be announced. Save the dates!

In case you missed it, visit our BTCA Facebook page and New Year’s video! It has over 200,000 views! 2026 is going to be a great year!

Best Regards, BTCA President, Laurie Friesen
